This compelling historical work sheds light on the vital yet often overlooked contributions of local indigenous communities in Sarawak during the final stages of World War II. It details how rural tribespeople and native populations bravely partnered with Allied special operations units behind enemy lines, providing critical intelligence and executing successful guerrilla tactics against occupying forces. Drawing upon archival records and official citations for bravery, the book restores recognition to the courageous local figures whose sacrifices were instrumental to the campaign’s success.
