Product Description
Nazlina Hussin wrote the website www.pickles-and-spices.com five years ago without dreaming that the web site would be the main vehicle for people from all over the world to know about her and attend her popular cooking classes in George Town, Penang. Now it is listed on Trip Advisor as the top thing to do in Penang. Having been an avid cook all her life, learning many cuisines from different cultures; Nazlina now turns back to her roots, to be an advocate of Malay traditional cooking. Her way of teaching is informal and full of fun. She conducts wet market tours and shows her students how to buy all ingredients fresh, to be cooked later, communally, at several outdoor settings. Ingredients are prepared by hand, no high-tech gadget is used and the results are always fantastic. The cooking class is designed for cooks of all levels, including children. The 12 recipes in this package are printed on 12 individual cards, and they range from the simple and everyday nasi lemak to perennial favourites like assam fish and baked stingray. lt is perfect as an activity for corporate team building and can also be given away as an unusual, but memorable birthday present, a wedding or a Christmas gift.
