Kompleks Arkeologi Sungai Batu (KASB) yang hanya seluas tiga kilometer persegi namun telah menemui 97 tapak purba dan tapak yang paling tua bertarikh tahun 788 SM iaitu tapak peleburan besi. Selain berperanan sebagai kawasan peleburan besi purba, KASB juga memaparkan tapak-tapak dermaga, pelabuhan, bangunan shahbandar, gudang dan tapak ritual. Justeru itu, puing-puing purba di KASB membayangkan kepesatan dan kemajuan yang pernah dikecapi oleh masyarakat Sungai Batu dalam ertikata ketamadunan yang tersendiri yang berpaksikan maritim dan industri.
Although Sungai Batu Archaelogical Complex (SBAC) is located within a three kilometer square vicinity, however 97 sites has been found and the oldest site is dated 788 BC and it was an iron smelting area. SBAC too has uncoved several sites such as wharves, port, harbour master building, warehouses and ritual monument. Therefore, the ancient ruins at SBAC reflects the immense development and advancement that the Sungai Batu community had enjoyed the sense of a civilization that driven by martime and iron industry.
